Cape Verde stunned two-time winners Uruguay 2-2, Spain beat Saudi Arabia 4-0, Iran draw Belgium 0-0 and Egypt beat New Zealand 3-1.

Uruguay and Cape Verde played out a 2-2 draw in their second World Cup Group H game in which the tournament debutant went toe-to-toe with the South American heavyweight in an entertaining end-to-end game.
